The American Myalgic Encephalomyelitis and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Society (AMMES) is dedicated to serving the needs of patients and caregivers through support, advocacy, and education. AMMES provides direct support to disabled patients who are unable to meet their critical needs, such as food, rent, and clothing, through the AMMES Financial Crisis Fund.
In 2025 AMMES made individual grants from the financial crisis fund as follows: $52,130 for housing (10 people), medical grants totaled $9,610 (8 people), utilities grants totaled $10,400 (8 people), food totaled $4,700 (8 people), household expenses totaled $1,430 (4 people), moving expenses totaled $2,505 (2 people), transportation totaled $2,180 (5 people).
AMMES distributed a monthly newsletter through Email Octopus. AMMES maintained and expanded its website. AMMES maintained its corporate status with the state of Massachusetts. AMMES distributed funds through the financial crisis fund.
