Desoto Hope

DeSoto Hope exists to provide Hope to those facing cancer in DeSoto County, MS. When someone is diagnosed with cancer, we support them by providing a basket filled with essentials to help them cope with their cancer journey. We also provide other ways to connect with others with similar circumstances.

Travel Grants – We provide travel grants of $500 to cancer patients requesting to travel out of DeSoto County to seek a second opinion for treatment options. This calendar year, we provided 11 travel grants.

We started a scholarship fund this year. We offered anyone who personally or has a parent who has had stage 4 or passed away of cancer the eligibility to apply for a higher education scholarship in the amount of $2500. We awarded 2 scholarships during the calendar year.
