Our mission: the Greater Lansing Care Foundation is a non-profit, community-based organization dedicated to providing support and education to caregivers who have a family member with dementia. The foundation will aim to provide services to families within the greater lansing area, particularly those from historically underserved populations. Our vision: to ensure that no family member in the greater lansing community ever feels as if they are alone when it comes to caring for a loved one with dementia. Core care values: c: compassion: empathy and compassion serve as a central foundation principle based on the prioritization of good communication, patience, understanding, critical thinking, and cultural awareness. A: accountability & reliability: the foundation pledge.

Lectures are held quarterly and focus on a single issue relevant to caregivers, including mental health, elder law, and current treatment trends in dementia. The foundation also has a monthly newsletter, an informative podcast aimed at expanding information presented in the lecture series, and an active community calendar to inform community members about existing events that may be relevant to caregivers who have a loved one with dementia.
