Hawaii Association for Infant Mental Health (AIMHI)works to nurture the emotional health and resiliency of hawai’I’s keiki by growing a network of professionals and a system of care that is founded upon infant and early childhood mental health practices.
Share expertise & information – through this program the organization seeks to provide consultation to other programs (children/families, classrooms, etc) with a focus on mental heath and wellness. And, the organization serves as the professional hub for infant mental health in which the organization endorses and maintains a registry of infant & early childhood mental health (IECMH) professionals. The organization is working to create a “rostering system” for IECMH consultants.
System integration of infant & early childhood mental health – the organization is working to advance infant and early childhoold mental health practices in state systems through participating in workgroups and preparing presentations.
