Helping Adults with Autism Perform and Excel

Description

HAAPE is a non-profit foundation dedicated to empowering adults diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) through specialized training, education, and career development. The mission of HAAPE is to build autism workforce ecosystems that facilitate meaningful, sustainable employment for neurodivergent individuals. Through targeted community outreach, HAAPE fosters autism-friendly businesses, municipalities, and organizations while scaling its ecosystem models nationwide to maximize long-term independence and societal inclusion.

Funded the implementation of an entrepreneurship bootcamp for autistic adults in partnership with Florida Atlantic University (FAU). Out of 18 applicants and 14 qualified enrollees, 12 students completed the program, gaining core competencies in business planning, customer discovery, and sales presentation. The program successfully established an adapted instructional framework tailored for neurodivergent entrepreneurs.

Provided educational scholarships for adults with autism to complete specialized Supply Chain and Logistics training through Broward College. The remote, self-paced 8-module program prepares candidates for career opportunities across manufacturing, retail, and wholesale distribution networks. In FY 2025, HAAPE provided scholarships for 6 students covering 6 full courses. Since program inception in 2021, HAAPE has awarded scholarships to 35 unique individuals completing a cumulative total of 71 certified courses.
