Stimulate mammalian genome research.

The International Mammalian Genome Conferences provide an essential annual venue that brings together mammalian and biomedical geneticists from across the world to interact, form new collaborations and plan new research programs with the goal of improving the use of mammalian models to improve the health and well-being of people. An important aspect of the conferences is the training and mentoring of young scientists. The 38th International Mammalian Genome Conference (IMGC) was held in the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow, Scotland from April 6-9, 2025.

Sponsoring the scientific journal Mammalian Genome. Mammalian Genome is a quarterly print and online journal which covers the latest developments in Mammalian Genome research and acts as an archival record of the same. As of May 2025, it contains 36 volumes and 425 issues. In the same way that search engines make information on the internet easily accessible, Mammalian Genome makes research and data in this important field easily accessible. Published by Springer-Verlag.
