National Violence Prevention Hotline
Description
To provide free, confidential, expert support for people in distress and feeling compelled toward committing acts of violence in the future.
The National Violence Prevention Hotline proposes to provide an opportunity to people to address their distress before becoming violent, address the gaps in the mental health service and normalize anger as an emotion that does not necessarily need to lead to violence, and decrease the stigma toward the individuals unable to control their anger due to the lack of mental health services to address their trauma or personal issues.
National Violence Prevention Hotline is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 88-2646904) based in Grand Rapids, MI.
