Operation Social Equality

Description

Our organization is a Mental Health Resource Hub dedicated to providing grief support groups for all ages. We aim to create a safe space for individuals experiencing loss and systemic trauma to heal emotionally. This year, we increased our reach by 35% and raised fundraising revenue by 75%. We’ve held 4 Board meetings and delivered 3 of 12 scheduled workshops, impacting 25 participants. We offer individual therapy sessions for LGBTQIA+ adults and have educated 100 community members on mental health resources. Our goal is to expand group offerings and provide conflict resolution support in schools.

We provided: Mental Healt Crisis Support via chatline/telephone, Connected 100 community members to local social services support, Curated grief support curriculum to 2 families that needed bereavement support after gun violence took their mother. Conducted 3 Bereavement Support Group for Teens with 16 total participants. Spread awareness on how grief fueled emotions can be redirected towards hope to use them to catalyst micro and macro change. Completed a website with Mental Health Resources and Guides.
