South Dakota Foundation for the Blind and Visually Impaired

To fund social, recreational, and educational opportunities for students at the South Dakota School for the Blind and Visually Impaired as well as other visually impaired students throughout the state.

Student trips: We paid for two trips for students to attend athletic events. Two students went to the Swim and Forensics meet in Illinois and one student went to the Track And Field meet held in Nashville.

Family Weekend: We funded the annual family weekend for parents and students to visit the school in the summer, get to know teachers and staff, and have a good time getting to know each other and sharing the challenges of having a visually handicapped child.
