Thrive with Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency Organization

The organizations mission is to advocate educate and connect those with Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency a disorder that affects the red blood cells. This disease is very rare our organization provides resources to those affected by it by connecting patients with doctors who understand how to treat this rare disease.

Thrive with PKD has been attending several medical conferences as well as sponsoring certain representatives of various communities to attend said conferences.

Thrive with PKD hosted a conference jointly with the Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency Foundation in 2024. The goal was to bring together people affected by PKD and doctors who are experts in the area. Thrive with PKD gave travel and lodging grants to eligible attendees to the conference making sure that as many people who needed to come were able to attend. This included some attendees from other countries U.K. Canada Australia Mexico. The large majority of attendees were from the United States.
